India Delivers Record Revenue for Apple as Global Sales Climb to $114.48 Billion

India emerged as one of Apple’s strongest markets in the fourth quarter of FY26, helping the technology giant record its highest-ever quarterly revenue in the country. The performance came during CEO John Ternus’s first quarter in the role, even as the company faced rising memory costs and supply constraints.

Apple’s India growth was supported by a record number of iPhone upgrades in the September quarter. Survey data from Worldpanel also placed the iPhone among the country’s best-selling smartphone models. Mac revenue reached a new high, driven by demand for the MacBook Neo and MacBook Pro. Apple also introduced Apple Pay in India through a partnership with Axis Bank.

Globally, Apple reported quarterly revenue of $114.48 billion, an 11.72% increase year-on-year. Revenue for the full FY26 stood at a record $478.83 billion, while annual net profit rose 18% to $132.18 billion.

The iPhone remained the largest contributor, generating $57.58 billion in quarterly revenue. Services revenue reached a record $31.57 billion, supported by growth in cloud, video and payment services. While earnings from wearables and iPads decreased, Mac sales also rose.

Apple’s quarterly net profit grew 11.81% to $30.71 billion. However, higher memory prices and limited availability of advanced semiconductor manufacturing capacity put pressure on margins and product shipments.

Ternus described the rise in memory prices as unprecedented. COO Sabih Khan said supply constraints linked to advanced chip manufacturing had affected shipments, although the company’s transition to newer 2-nanometre technology was helping ease some of those limitations.

Despite these challenges, Apple continued investing in research and development, particularly in generative AI and custom silicon. Its active installed base exceeded 2.5 billion devices.
